We did it! After four years of work, we passed the Homeowner Bill of Rights through the California Legislature. We proved that even in this age of unparalleled corporate power, a smart, creative, and relentless campaign can beat back the corporate lobbyists. It's a proud day, but corporate lawyers are no doubt already concocting new ways to try and work around the rules to gouge homeowners, renters, and the rest of the middle class.
